The Slayton Group is currently seeking applicants for internships.

Qualifications

• Preferably a Junior or Senior in college.
• Majoring in Political Science, American History, or other related field.
• Genuine interest in public policy, and American government.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Internship Description
As an intern with the Slayton Group, you will be exposed to the fast-paced world of political consulting and governmental advocacy. Working alongside top level executives, you will experience first-hand what it is to be a political consultant.

Much of your time will be spent in Annapolis, attending House and Senate hearings, or collecting important documents and data that are vital to our clients’ issues. You will find yourself in direct contact with Delegates and Senators at events and fundraisers. The Slayton Group interns develop the interpersonal and business skills necessary to succeed in politics by participating in both professional and social affairs.

Hours and Responsibilities

• Minimum of 20 hours a week
• Research projects
• Organizing and attending fundraisers
• Meetings in Annapolis
• Other lobbying issues
